In 1986, Dr. Igor Smirnov was part of the investigative team that was looking into the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. There was a significant finding inside the affected perimeter. One group of irradiated people under-going the rehabilitation in the health care facility in the area of Mountain Springs was not suffering from cancer, although millions of others were.
From this research into the Chernobyl disaster, Dr. Smirnov determined that it was the specific molecular structure of the spring water from the Caucasus Mountains that helped people to counteract to the development of Oncological diseases following the adverse effects from the radiation.This finding was not uncommon because weak electromagnetic fields have the ability to change the properites of water and therefore geomagnetic fields from different regions of the planet have the ability to affect the structure and subsequent physiological effects of water as well.

After researching the effects of electromagnetic radiation on cellular structures at St. Petersburg University in Russia, Dr. Smirnov developed a system called Molecular Resonance Effect Technology (MRET) for the modification of the molecular organization state of water and other liquid substances.Through his Molecular Resonance Effect Technology, Dr. Smirnov has changed the actual molecular composition of water so that the structure and frequency are similiar to intracellular water (cellular water in the human body).
